Drishti means vision

A Mission to Brighten Young Lives

Providing Free Eye Care for Underserved Children

In India, an estimated 1 in 1000 children aged 0-15 suffer from blindness, totaling 270,000 individuals, the highest number in any single country. Neglecting regular eye checkups, especially prevalent in impoverished settlements, emerges as a significant contributing factor. Drishti or Vision is crucial for the growth, progress, and self confidence of every child, and it has become our mission to provide free eye care and awareness to those who cannot afford it.

Sanjana Chauhan

Drishti is an initiative started by Sanjana Chauhan, a student from Amity International School, aimed at providing a clear vision and brighter future for Underserved children.

While tutoring middle school students at an NGO, Sanjana noticed that two of her brightest female students consistently struggled academically. Upon investigation, she discovered that a seemingly minor but significant issue-weak vision - was at the root of their challenges. This insight led to the creation of Drishti, a solution designed to address their vision problems and improve their academic performance.
